AirCare is an excellent app for checking the air quality in different parts of the world. With this app, you can check in real time whether it's safe to go outside, as well as the air quality history for that area.
The way AirCare works couldn't be easier. The app organizes information provided by air pollution sensors located all around the world. From the app's interface, you can check the level of contamination on different measurement scales (EAQI, US AQI, PM10, and PM 2.5). In the center of the screen, the app displays the air quality for your current location, plus a rating of it. You can also use this app to check the direction of the wind and fires.
On the bottom of the screen, there are various buttons for the rest of the app's features: with 'favorites,' you can quickly access the locations you've saved. With 'map,' you can see a visual representation of air quality around the world. Basically, this feature shows a map of the world covered in dots ranging from green to red, which represents a scale of good and bad air quality. If you tap on one of these colored dots, you can get more information about the air quality in this area. Finally, by tapping on the statistics button, you can see where the air is most polluted in the world, as well as an air quality history for each area, which also shows the periods of highest and lowest pollution.
